About the Composting Process

Heat is a natural result of a well-managed composting process. Temperatures inside the Omnivore Composter typically range between 100°F and 150°F. A properly maintained Omnivore will reach 131°F for a minimum of 72 hours — the threshold required to break down pathogens including viruses and microorganisms that cause disease.

The Omnivore protects your operation from scavengers and predators that could transmit livestock diseases while feeding on carcasses left in manure piles or open bins. No rendering trucks on your property. No dead stock accessible from outside. Better biosecurity, start to finish.

Composting will improve the bio-security of your farm operation. It is an easy and efficient way to dispose of your dead stock — and get a nutrient-rich compost in return.
