The system continuously compares the temperature inside your electrical panel to the surrounding room temperature. Under normal conditions, these should be nearly identical. A higher panel temperature signals serious concerns — a bad breaker, loose wiring, or an overloaded circuit.
Panel Guardian measures the difference in electrical current between the power wires entering and leaving your panel. Any imbalance means electricity is leaking or returning through the ground wire — a clear sign of failing equipment, faulty wiring, or a dangerous fault condition.
Both data streams are combined into a single Alert Factor score (0–4), so you always know your panel’s condition at a glance — no electrical training required.
